.
I am one of several artists-in-residence at the Cherry Street Pier, located at the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia. The Pier is a year ‘round arts destination where artists engage in open studio visits all year long.
While my paintings historically feature portraits & cityscapes, this year my studio residency focused on the art of the pineapple - a much-needed symbol of welcome and hospitality in a time of social distancing.
Come visit me throughout the year at Cherry Street Pier, Ground Floor, Studio 3, including
—First Friday, April 2, 2021 (5 to 8pm) for the opening of my Pineapplepalooza! paintings, and
—First Friday, May 7, 2021 (5 to 8pm) for the opening of my self-portrait show, “Fat Man, Smiling,” featuring more than 100 self-portraits made over a period of 40 years.
The Cherry Street Pier is open 7 days a week, noon to 8pm.
My studio hours are generally Wed. - Sun., noon to 6pm. Call 917-687-8120 to confirm studio days a/o to set up an appointment for a virtual studio tour via FaceTime from the comfort of your home.
